3rd Grade Blauer Welcome
Hello Soon-to-Be-Third Grader and Parents,
I hope you’ve had a fun summer and are excited to come back to school. I’m looking forward to hearing what activities you’ve been doing. Third grade is a great year, and I’m excited to have you in my class. Below are some things that I’d like you to know before coming back. Things to help get you prepared for third grade:
- Read at least twenty minutes five or more times a week. You can write a book report on the books you read, so make sure to write down the titles. *Make sure to bring your coin calendar in the first week of school for your first reward activity.
- Practice addition and subtraction math facts. We move into multiplication in October, so it’s important you know addition and subtraction facts really well. You can practice flashcards, computer games, or even verbally.
School Supplies (Please bring the first day of school):
- 1-inch binder (one with a pocket in front)
- 1-70 sheet spiral notebook
- 1-100 sheet composite notebook (9 ¾ x 7 ½)
- A pack of fine tipped dry erase markers for math timings (one for school and one for home)
Supplies for our class:
- Box of tissues
- Extra pencils
- I have most everything else we need
I hope you enjoy the last weeks of summer and are ready to learn, laugh, love, and lead in third grade. ☺
Mrs. Blauer
