Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to 2^nd grade at Sunrise Elementary!  We are so excited for another fun and adventurous year.  

Things to get you prepared for 2^nd grade:

• Reading 20 minutes a day
• Practicing math facts (addition and subtraction)

 

SUNRISE SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST 

2026-27 School Year 

                         NOTICE: The items on this list will be used during the regular school day. They may be brought from home on a voluntary basis, otherwise, they will be furnished by the school.

 

Items that would be helpful to have for 2^nd grade:

(This list is just a suggestion, so don’t worry if you are not able to bring all these things.)

• (1) 1” Binder (3-ring with see-through cover)
• Standard pencil box with lid
• (2) Pocket folders (durable-from cardstock, NOT plastic)
• (1) Wire-bound notebook (1 subject, 70 sheets)
• Small pair of scissors
• 4 or 5 pencils
• Small box of crayons

Classroom Donations:

(In addition to the above supplies for you, please bring the following items to share with the whole class.)

• Tissues
• Clorox disinfectant wipes
• Small individually wrapped snacks (goldfish, fruit snacks, pretzels, crackers, etc.)
  We look forward to meeting with you on Back-to-School night.
