2nd Grade DLI Welcome Letter

Printable 2nd Grade DLI Welcome Letter

Welcome to 2nd grade DLI!

Dear Parents and student,

Welcome back to school for the 2025-2026 school year!  We can’t wait to be your teachers and begin the new school year with you! It’s going to be a fantastic year in 2nd grade DLI!!

Here’s a little about us so you can get to know us better!

Mrs. Launa Williams

Hello!! I am delighted to begin a new school year here in second grade at Sunrise Elementary!! My husband Cliff  and I live in Hyde Park. We have three little boys: Parker,   Miles, and Cole.  With three very busy little boys at home, things are a bit chaotic at our house - which is  probably why I feel right at home in an elementary classroom! This is my 22nd  year of teaching elementary  school (fourteen years teaching 5th grade, five years teaching 1st grade, and three years teaching 2nd grade). I have  a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition  to teaching, I love reading, walking, and watching movies. Most importantly, I love doing anything and  everything with Cliff, our boys, and our two dogs. I also have a passion for music and Harry Potter! I can’t wait  to get our year going!

Professora Marina Rohde

My name is Marina and I am from Brazil. I lived my whole life in the state of Paraná, in a town called Toledo.  I have a baby girl named Maria Clara. She is so sweet! She was born in March 2024, so she is one year old. My husband works at Murdock Hyundai and we live in North Logan. We love spending time with our baby  and watching her grow. I've been a teacher for 14 years and I truly love what I do. I also have a PhD in Literature,  so reading is my favorite hobby. It will be my third year teaching second graders and I am really looking  forward to working with everyone and teaching my mother tongue. I wish us all an outstanding year with  countless things to discover and share!

You’re going to love 2nd grade and all the fun things we learn together!

Love,

Professor Rohde and Mrs. Williams
