Principal Todd Henke
My Educational Philosophy
I believe every child deserves to come to school each day knowing that they are valued, capable, and important. My educational philosophy begins with a simple belief: relationships come first, because students learn best when they feel known, supported, and safe.
I believe our job as educators is not simply to teach students what they need to know, but to help them discover what they are capable of becoming. That requires high expectations, intentional instruction, encouragement, and a willingness to meet students where they are while helping them take the next step forward. Every student may grow at a different pace and in different ways, but every student deserves our belief in their potential.
I also believe that great schools are built by great people working together. Teachers and staff are the heart of a school, and I value their expertise, creativity, and commitment. I believe in listening, collaborating, celebrating successes, and having honest conversations when we need to improve. My role as a principal is not to have all the answers, but to help create the conditions where our staff can do their best work and our students can thrive.
Ultimately, I want our school to be a place where students are excited to learn, teachers are proud to work, and families feel welcomed and connected. We will celebrate progress, learn from challenges, and continually look for ways to become better.
I believe deeply in the power of a positive school culture. When we imagine, trust, inspire, and strive together, we can create a school where every student (and staff member) has the opportunity to grow, discover their strengths, and believe in what is possible.
